Digital Radiography
In May of 2007, AVC expanded our digital radiography service to include dental x-rays, using our new AFP Image-Vet 70 ACP. We love it!

Allandale Veterinary Clinic is excited to now offer digital radiography. Our new Sound-AGFA digitizer is becoming more commonplace in human medicine and we are proud to be one of the first Veterinary facilities in the Austin area to offer this service. Digital radiography is a means of processing x-rays into a digital image using a computer. It eliminates the need for film, a dark room and chemical processing, thus a substantial savings on the environment over traditional methods.
Client Access to Imagery
In addition to being able to store large volumes of data in a small space, we will be able to offer high quality referral films with the click of a button via the e-mail and/or CD copies.

Owners will also be able to access these images via e-mail or off a home version CD. Request a look at our new digitizer anytime and one of our staff members will be proud to show it to you.

Dental X-rays
Dental radiographs have recently become an essential tool in the maintenance of your pet’s dental health. Each dental patient will benefit from oral charting and radiographs. These allow us to obtain a diagnosis and formulate a treatment plan specifically for your pet.

Dental radiographs serve as part of the medical record of the patient’s dental health and when shared with the owner they better understand the state of their pet’s dental health , the need for treatments performed, and the importance of follow up and home care programs.

Remember much of the tooth lies under the gums. The only way to evaluate the root structure, the inside of the tooth and the supportive bone is to take radiographs.
Overall, radiographs greatly enhance the quality of dental services we provide to our patients. From routine periodontal cases to more advanced treatments, optimal dental therapy requires high quality diagnostic images.
